In podcast # 13 on Socialism and Religious Holidays I already introduced you to March 8th International Women’s Day. You can listen to it or read podcast transcript in this blog. Most of former soviet men know nothing about socialistic roots of this holiday, they just use it as opportunity to give flowers to women and girls they love. And I have nothing against that, actually I bought beautiful roses for my wife. I wish we, men could do that every day for our women, they deserve it. For now I’ll leave the holiday alone.
While Soviet regime removed religious holidays, they realized that new Soviet man needs new Soviet holidays. In the beginning of Soviet Era, talking about new Soviet man or “Soviet people” system often referred to both male and female, although mostly it considered only a man, another incarnation of the “Soviet man” was constantly overlooked. With the development of women’s history and gender studies the situation began to change somewhat, now there are a number of major works, providing a picture of what it meant to be a woman in the Soviet Union.
I include some links in my blog post. Many women of Soviet era, brainwashed by propaganda even didn’t want to be referred to as woman, but rather as “tovarishch” which means “comrade” in Russian. Female comrades played important role in Soviet socialist revolution, in building soviet industry and agriculture, in Civil War and in country’s defense during WWII. First woman in space was Soviet cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova.
She orbited the earth in Vostok 6 between June 16 and 19, year 1963. Later, she was president of the Committee of Soviet Women and a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Soviet Union. Soviet regime used literature as one of the methods of social engineering through indoctrination and was building the image of a new soviet woman. And Tereshkova was one of their models.
The first ideal of the new Soviet woman, who quite naturally became the heroine, was born in the flames of revolution and civil war. The Soviet heroic woman first appeared in the pages of periodicals as a nurse, army commissar, and even as a fighter. She was modest, firm, loyal, brave, dare, hardworking, energetic and often young. She didn’t think about her personal welfare. If she was needed at the battlefront, she could, though with regret, to leave her children, she could put up with physical difficulties, without flinching engage the battle, and in case of capture – withstand torture and even death, believing that her sacrifice was the contribution to the construction of a better world. Ideal Soviet woman had to sacrifice everything for the ideals of communism.
That’s what soviet regime expected from her. But in fact soviet woman had a double burden, because regime also wanted her to reproduce, as it needed vast human resources for Army, for GULAG or simply as cheap, underpaid general workers.
Soviet men mostly wanted to see their women as lovers, wives, mothers, keepers of the family and it didn’t fit the line of Communist Party and Soviet government. Even the International Women’s Day was introduced primarily to celebrate woman as a worker rather than the traditional woman. Gender as a category that helps structure society was not considered important in the Soviet Union. A notion that was more important in the USSR was class; belonging to the working class was clearly an advantage.
So called soviet family obviously had a different role than, for example, traditional Jewish family, or Christian family. Because our family was traditional and faith-based, we were viewed as enemies. And our women were seen as enemies too. Because we refused to be identified with Soviet class structure, we were hated stumbling stones on the happy road to communism. And we were persecuted for that. My grandma had to stay alone with her younger children while her husband and older son, my dad, were in GULAG camps. Many stories can be told of soviet woman’s fate, especially those who opposed socialism. I recommend you listen to podcast # 2, where I told the story of my mom. She, along with my unborn sister, didn’t survive. Soviet regime’s assault on traditional woman and family existence. As a revenge for their death, so-called “soviet woman” didn’t survive too. She collapsed and died with the death of Soviet Union. But it left millions of damaged and wounded woman’s souls and lives. As a spiritual counselor I’ve spent my best years helping both women and men to recover and heal from soviet contagion. Those who are healed from that contagion aren’t soviet women anymore, but free women, known as loving moms and grandmas, wives, daughters and sisters. Unfortunately right here in America are many of those who miss the idea of soviet woman as class unit. Good thing is that most of Americans are sick and tired of that socialistic attack on women and traditional woman becomes popular again.
On this special day I have a couple of Russian anecdotes for you.

Husband is reading the newspaper and watching TV, wife is cleaning dishes.
Suddenly he remembers that today is March 8th and he didn’t buy a gift. Husband (while keeps reading) says:
- Stop washing dishes, honey, it’s eight pm, you can finish tomorrow!

Lets talk now about Soviet Army. I already mentioned it in some of my previous podcasts. Here is a quote from podcast # 13: “Military service was mandatory for every Soviet man who reached his 18th birthday. Therefore every boy was seen as potential motherland defender, except those disabled or seriously ill. Every school had military preparedness class where, besides disassembling and assembling AK 47 and putting on gas mask we were indoctrinated into our future roles as defenders of socialist motherland. And February 23rd holiday served that purpose. Before end of WWII it was Red Army Day. In spite of its military origins, many former Soviet citizens still celebrate this day simply as Men’s Day. Among all former Soviet republics I know for sure that Russia renamed it into Defender of Fatherland Day, while keeping the same date. Ukraine has such holiday on January 29th.” (End of quote) Military service terms in USSR were 2 years for army and 3 years for navy. In spite of many changes, like Soviet Union’s collapse and restoration of 15 independent states with their own militaries, many problems that existed in Soviet Army are still alive and well today. Remember America, I warned you now, once you allow socialists in power to impose their changes and have it cemented it will be very hard to get rid of it. As an example, you have Social Security here in America.
The most brutal, violent, inhuman thing that existed in Soviet Army and still haunts former Soviet republics today was and is “dedovshchina”. The closest word in English is hazing. Although its hard to find analogy to such senseless behavior. Many good boys are maimed physically, mentally and emotionally, many are dead just because some older soldiers had to show their status as “dedy” which literally means “grandfathers”. There are many YouTube videos showing what is going on in Russian Army, you can watch and see this as continued tradition from Soviet Army. What seniors or “dedy” are doing has nothing to do with teaching freshmen army order, but to humiliate others. They do it because one year before they were also beaten and humiliated. Humiliation part included also performing some services for senior soldiers, like washing their socks, polishing boots, cleaning floor with toothbrush, forced dancing or exercise in the middle of the night, etc. Such practice was in Soviet Army since it was called Red Army, but significantly increased and became extremely brutal after 1967 when service term was reduced from 3 to 2 years and to maintain high number of soldiers former soviet criminals were allowed to serve in Army after finishing their prison term; they brought their soviet prison violence with them. Most of these criminals were allowed only in construction battalion. And that’s where I was sent also. But for me as believer all harassment, emotional and physical abuse was set on a different level. While for all other soldiers it was exactly just as I described earlier, they simply were abused because of superiority demonstration by older servicemen, for someone like me, because of my affiliation with underground persecuted congregation of believers, the humiliation was performed under the direction from senior officers, who also were instructed by KGB. In spite of all brutality and torture I was lucky to survive. I consider it God’s mercy. Many others, like young Christian Ivan Moiseyev, whose fatal army story I shortly described in podcast #11, didn’t survive but paid their debt to Motherland with their lives. Yes, that’s what we were told and that’s how that part of socialistic system functioned. Every boy born in Soviet Union was already in debt to Soviet Motherland which he had to pay after turning 18 with 2 or 3 years of military service. Why? Nobody really could explain it using common sense. Because there wasn’t common sense in Soviet socialism. Don’t look for common sense in Carl Marx’s or Lenin’s books, better read “The Common Sense” of Thomas Payne, its healthier. Everything associated with socialism is incurably sick. Did we have that debt because Soviet Motherland gave us free healthcare, free education? It wasn’t free! We were overtaxed by Soviet government who spent our money to buy that freebees. Well, here’s the common sense: we paid for the promise of our future utopian paradise called communism. It reminds me old gypsy story.
Old gypsy spanks little gypsy boy’s naked butt with a leather belt. Boy cries loudly. Passerby asks old gypsy: – What wrong he did that you spank him? - Nothing yet, – old gypsy replied. – But I’m sending him to the well to bring a bucket of water and of course he will spill while carrying it back. That’s what I spank him for.”
Ok back to my story. Long before being forced into Soviet Army, our family got involved in emigration movement. On the grounds that Soviet regime didn’t allow us to worship our God freely, we applied to emigrate to any non-communist country that was willing to accept us. For years I dreamed of a new land to call it “home” where other people around me would respect my faith and I would use my talents and skills for prosperity of that land. But I didn’t have any desire to serve that evil, murderous socialistic regime that emptied people’s souls with atheism and like their father Satan continued to steal, kill and destroy. By the time when I was called to Army service, some of my Christian friends served prison terms for involvement in emigration movement. How could I want to serve their butcher, their persecutor? How could I serve the regime that had sent my father and grandfather to GULAG camps for years? How could I want to serve the regime that killed my mom and unborn sister? Do you understand the state of my heart and mind before I ended up in Soviet Army? Additionally, I had some health problems that normally would excuse anyone from military, but not me, I wasn’t normal in the eyes of military commission who thought army could separate me from my religion and break my will of being involved in emigration. Along with others drafted in I was transported to Severomorsk in Kolsky peninsula which is above the Northern polar circle. From there I was transferred to nearby Murmansk city. (If you remember Russian submarine accident, it happened also in that area). Because of my obvious refusal to swear the oath of faithfulness to Soviet Motherland I was sent to the only place I would fit – the construction battalion, or simply “stroybat” in Russian. It wasn’t easy for my ill body to adopt to the extreme frost and eye-poking darkness of polar winter. After only few days in Army I was taken to military hospital for intestinal surgery. That was the only good thing Army did for me, as successful surgery removed the problem I suffered for many years. While recovering I was brought to local KGB office where I was questioned and had to listen to their sugarcoated assurances of how much they really cared for me. Using my physical condition they were building the environment for my expected cooperation with them. Of course, they never achieved expected results, but they tried. Nobody ever mentioned the oath taking ceremony that I missed while in hospital. Who cared?! They knew I wouldn’t bend to any pressure and used different approach. It was lollipop game, when somebody puts lollipop in you mouth, then pulls it out and asks: “Do you want to keep this lollipop? Then do what we want and you’ll have endless lollipop for the whole Army term. As the part of recovery program I was assigned to the light duty in …military kindergarten! Well, that would be a paradise for any soldier! I would eat the same food that officer’s kids were eating. And that was the place of temptations. Many officers wives worked there too. And it looked like they all were sexually hungry! I’ve heard that another soldier who was there before me had most of them and they wanted to keep him there, but unfortunately he committed suicide right there after received letter that his girlfriend married another man. Of course all that ladies wanted me to be his replacement in that part of their lives too. What disappointment I was for them! I think they didn’t know that I was watched by KGB. Actually, another officer’s wife who lived right in front of kindergarten tried to find keys whether to my heart, or something below that. She invited me few times for nice meal, but instead of seducing me she had to listen to my preaching and after she prayed with me, she admitted that KGB wanted her to seduce me so that they could catch me doing sin and my faith would be discredited. When my sister and brother visited me there they brought with them my guitar and for few months I gathered local youth and sang to them about God’s love. When that was discovered the lollipop suddenly disappeared, I was removed from kindergarten and returned to barracks. Senior commanders would call me to headquarters where they threatened me with making my life unbearable if I refuse to cooperate with KGB. Older soldiers were instructed to bully me not just because I was younger in service term, but for my faith in God. KGB an d commanders most likely knew that I had connection to local believers so they didn’t want for me to be tortured and seriously injured under their watch. Therefore they decided to send me out to the remote location where huge hangars were built for Soviet nukes. Before I left for that place, chief commander of our military unit angrily told me one on one: “Alex, I promise, you won’t return from there alive!” At the remote location, called High settlement in addition to hard construction work hazing, bullying were out of control. The acts of severe violence usually occurred at night after so called grandfathers had saturated themselves with alcohol, drugs and after breathing toxic hallucinogenic paint. After such intoxication no one could sleep at night, violent orgies continued till the morning. Many were beaten, humiliated in different ways. My circumstances were getting worse and worse. With all existing dangers more was added when I refused to take part in construction of hideouts for nuclear missiles. When asked “WHY?” I explained, that on the other end of the world, in America, are also my brothers and sisters in the Lord and I will not do anything that has intent to harm them. Of course such explanation didn’t satisfy anyone. I didn’t sound for them like a patriot of the Union of Soviet Socialistic Republic. And if I was not willing to become one, they were willing to use anything to transform me, or see me dead. One night I just fell asleep when suddenly I woke up with hellish noise and demonic laughter around me and with burning pain in my head. I tried to escape, but something heavy was hitting my head. I pretended that I passed out and maybe only that saved me. They got scared and stopped hitting me. Later I found out that intoxicated dedy approached me at night holding heavy soldier’s boots in their hands and began hitting me. Life became very scary and fragile for me. Many mysterious deaths happened in that area and most of them were never investigated. One soldier who didn’t obey grandfathers was not allowed to eat and he died right there from food deprivation. Another story happened while I was there. One officer and two soldiers took many bottles of alcohol, took military automobile and went to lapps village; lapps is the name of local population, they are also called Sami. The territorial name Lapland comes from lapps. These guys found native woman there; after drinking a lot and having group sex they took her naked in the car where they mutilated her vagina with a wrench and then threw her out of the car while driving. The women died and her family wanted to revenge for her death therefore no one was allowed to leave barracks. It was deep polar winter, when there is a polar night all 24 hours. The military compound was heavily guarded with many military patrols around settlement. While at construction location someone who cared told me that I shouldn’t return to barracks, because something awful was planned against me. I ran away from construction site and hid in the basement of nearby building. I prayed to God for His protection and His solution for my terrible situation. I knew that soon everyone will be searching for me. From there I got to another place where I could see only bus stop in settlement. The bus would come there only twice a day: in the morning – to bring there some workers and in the evening – to take them back. I got there right on time: the evening bus was about to leave! I took a deep breath, silently cried out to the Lord and went quickly straight to the bus. I got in, I sat in the back; no one ever asked me to pay or to show a document allowing me to leave. No one paid attention to me as if I was invisible. The bus brought me to train station where I gave train attendant my broken watch for the ride to Murmansk. In the Murmansk city I had civil clothes hidden in my friend’s home. Things seemed hopeful for me. I hoped to escape as far as possible from there and then maybe either to cross the border to Finland, Sweden or Norway and ask political asylum at American embassy. Another plan was to get somehow to Asia where I could buy fake Soviet passport and live somewhere under assumed name. As I was leaving the apartment complex where my friends lived while exiting elevator I got face to face with one of my commanders who also lived there and who also came from same High Settlement to spend New Year with his family. He recognized me and having another man with him they apprehended me and brought me to headquarters. All commander were shocked to see me fully dressed like civilian. And mad too! They ordered me to change back to military clothes. While changing I managed to hide some cash I had in my underwear. After unloading on me their rage, they took me for a night to military jail where I’ve spent following night sleeping on a very cold cement floor alongside very drunk naval officer. Next day I was brought to the headquarters again. It was relatively small, one story building. In the middle was main entrance with a guard booth in front so he could see everyone who entered and exited building. To the right and to the left from guard was long corridor with offices. The office of head commander was to the left and the office of his political deputy – to the right. First they took me to the head commander’s office, Mayor Dragonfly. They informed me there that they prepare my case for military tribunal and that most likely I’ll get 2 years of disciplinary battalion. After that they locked me alone in political deputy’s office and went back to their meeting in commander’s office, discussing my fate. When I was left alone, I could feel something special going both inside and outside. Without hesitation I pushed the door and, oh miracle, it opened! I looked into corridor and it was empty! I slowly walked towards guard’s booth – and … another miracle! He just wasn’t there! I could feel every cell of my body and my hair moving. Although I was dressed only in light tunic and nothing covered my head, although it was close to minus -20 outside, I could feel that supernatural power surrounding me and pushing me towards the exit. Without hesitation I opened the door, walked fast to the nearest dark corner, then – to the hidden hole under the brick wall and then as if I’ve got a pair of mighty wings: I crossed the field of 2-3 feet deep snow in seconds with confidence that I’ve seen that place for the last time.
It was just the beginning of my journey towards freedom. What happened after? Keep listening to the future podcasts and you’ll find the answer. Still my way was through many obstacles and thorns. Still I had to finish my run through the valley of the shadow of death. Here in America, I thought I could relax and rest in the shadow of Liberty. But now, when I can feel liberty, freedom departing from us, I know it’s the time to rise up and become freedom chasers. I’m talking about you, me, her, and him: all of us! And I want to bless true defenders of freedom, American soldiers who took their responsibility voluntarily to defend their loved ones, not somebody’s socialistic agenda. This great country still needs true heroes who know what they are standing for!

Ladies and gentlemen, I present you very important subject: Surviving socialistic Economy! Today, when socialists are ruling this country and destroying the best economy in the world, almost every American family suffers consequences of their destructive activity. This government sees itself above the constitution and is moving towards hard tyranny.
While it is historically obvious that socialism with its economy is a failure, I won’t take a lot of time presenting you numerous historic facts, although will mention some. Major difference between what we had in Soviet Union as socialistic economy and capitalism is that under capitalism market controls production of goods according to its demand. In other words, if people need something, there will be either existing business to satisfy that need, or new business will pop up with better product, quality and price. A product will be discontinued if people aren’t interested in it anymore. So it is truly people-centered economic system.
Under Socialism State own, controls and plans production and distribution of goods. Well, and services too! Thus it is called “planned” economy, versus market economy. There was State planning office, where everything was planned for 5 years, including quantity, prices, etc. While in the capitalist economy, the company listens to the slightest blows the market, which is transmitted through the data on demand, prices and supply, the Soviet economy worshiped Plan. Implementation of the plan, rather than profitability, has become the main condition for success, and thus the road to the best goods and services, high salaries and rations. This led to temptation to change the reporting, exaggerating the volume of output and understating costs. Statistics, designed to serve as a locator of economic life instead of market mechanisms, has been distorted almost from the beginning of socialism. The lack of bankruptcy proceedings resulted in the fact that the greatest support from the state was received by the least profitable enterprises. This led to huge losses. For example, in late 1970-s production of plain paper in the Soviet Union took in three times more wood than in Finland, and the industrial energy consumption was one of the highest in the world. The super-industrialization course resulted in the complete neglect of investment in agriculture, infrastructure and construction. By mid-1980’s, when food shortages were felt almost all over socialist camp, the share of agriculture in total Soviet economy, according to World Bank estimates, exceeded 20%. In most developed countries of Western Europe it was at 2%. Can’t you see clearly that socialism proved it cannot feed own people, that it is a failure, fraud, huge ponzy scheme?! Soviets boasted of low prices… if you could buy anything with that price tag. Often some things were overpriced and some – under-priced. Salaries also were regulated or standardized. At the heart of Lenin’s economic doctrine was the idea of paying everyone the same average salary, to keep everyone equally happy, whether it was steel worker or medical doctor. Another way they planned to keep people busy and happy was making them change profession frequently. Isn’t that stupid? I think any average member of Soviet society would be happy to work all life in the same place and same position, but receiving twice more on payday. And the quality of their product or service would become better. But, you know by now that system’s priority was achieving utopia, not the common sense. And how about making 5 year plan in 4 ½ years? Why? For the sake of so called socialistic competition. Quality? That wasn’t priority, Soviet people didn’t have a choice of buying something else. A lot of inventions never got to production line. Any innovation had to wait for the next planning period and often never was implemented. Sometimes scientists were witch-hunted by Communist Party. Take cybernetics, for example. Once it was declared for ideological reasons “bourgeois pseudoscience” (the original term of the time), it pushed back scientific development in that area for years. Some of you probably know more than I do in the area of economy. I do not have a degree in economy; however, I have a life school graduation as someone who survived socialistic economy.
My survival of Soviet economy began before my birth. Thanks to my mom’s health and strength I didn’t die before I was born. My parents were not rich, they didn’t have money to give bribes to doctors and nurses for special attention and even if they had they wouldn’t practice bribery due to their faith in God and belief that bribery is a sin. With all loud claims that Soviet government takes care of simple working people, the system didn’t take care even of itself. The Soviet economy could launch a man into space, but does not provide the population with boots. My dad had all necessary tools and skill to repair shoes. Our mom knew how to alter shirts and pants. Both, clothes and shoes were passed from older kids to younger with many fixes on the way, until it wasn’t repairable anymore. Glorious Soviet healthcare could not even provide women giving births with clean sheets for hospital beds, which along with other things they had to take from home After I was born, never in my life did I wear diapers! Can you imagine family with 9 kids surviving without diapers? We even didn’t know something like that existed, soviet parent experiences even shortage of reusable wraps for infants. Let’s talk a little bit about food. In one of my previous podcasts I told the story Golden Calf, how right in the city we raised a calf for food. Each one of us, kids, spent a lot of time digging the soil for food production. I can’t imagine for us surviving socialistic economy without growing our own food. That’s why I’m such an advocate for having self-sufficient homestead and being less dependent or even completely independent from government controlled economy that will soon suck in even more. Mysterious system of pricing, in which officially price for meat was low, but the meat was not on the shelves for years. This was done under the name of protecting the interests of the people (well, not as a goal!) and in the fear of people’s uprising. And it led to products being bought cheap by produce mafia who then sold it to us, but on the speculative price. In the midst of such deficit economy and unfair pay people used their employment for extra income. Someone people who worked on meat processing would wrap themselves with sausages and take it out hidden under warm coats. Especially good time for that was winter. Mostly security was paid to keep their eyes from wondering how it happened that someone who came in the morning skinny, was leaving at night as fat, barely able to walk under the heaviness of the load. Other things people managed to take from their workplaces were candies, raw chocolate, sugar, butter. People of such professions as turners, welders, electricians, plumbers would use their work time and state-owned equipment to make work for their personal clients, making nice amounts of untaxable cash. Of course Christians wouldn’t do anything like that, declining to grab the pieces of collapsing economy. But thanks to many skills they had and to modest living they were able to survive. Unfortunately, not all and not always! In the past I already shared with you stories about GULAG and Golodomor – Stalin’s man-made famine, that killed millions of people, mostly in Ukraine. In exchange for food, taken from people, Stalin got from the West heavy industrial equipment. Both Golodomor and GULAG showed well good intentions of Soviet Socialism. First, famine, was also used to break the spirit of Ukrainian people, to eliminate any attempts of Ukraine’s separation from USSR. Second, GULAG, provided cheap labor force, that was easily replaced due to high mortality rate. Everything in the name of the Plan, in the name of better, brighter future! Against the backdrop of the Great Depression implementation of the first five year plans looked like impressive successes. American communists traveled to Soviet Union to see the wonder of socialism and then to spread saliva all over America to prove how good socialism is. Of course, they didn’t see Golodomor, they didn’t know about GULAG! No, NO! Everything was pink. And it looks like even some American Presidents believed, because some of them cooperated with the Tyrant. Later, when Soviet oil was discovered, it gave soviets some money to patch failing economy. But, it couldn’t last forever. Listen, before I finish let me tell you this: I thank Reagan for what he did as his part, but it’s not true when I hear some Americans saying that Ronald Reagan destroyed Soviet Union, because it already was on long way of self-destruction. Of course, from spiritual perspective, rejection of God’s leadership over the nation inevitably leads to corruption and collapse. May God grant you, my listeners, sound mind and common sense to prevent that same thing from taking over America. But, if no matter what, you’ll stand face to face with socialistic economy monster, may God be there with you, helping you to use your skills and wisdom to survive.

My today’s subject is in direct relation to previous podcast when I was a guest on Self-Sufficient Homestead Show interviewed by Johnny Max & the Queen. Being Self-Sufficient is vital in surviving regimes and disasters. Lets just pray and hope that socialism in this country will not build up to the level of Stalin’s Soviet tyranny when everything people had for Self-Sufficiency was confiscated and destroyed by dictatorial government and those who dared to have something were separated from their possession and from the loved ones and sent to prisons and forced labor camps. These camps eventually became the death camps for millions of innocent good people. Let’s do what we can to stop and reverse socialism’s cancer-like spread in this country. Let’s see where we can find socialism today in America. First, we have now out of balance socialistic government. President and his administration are socialists; both chambers of congress are dominated by socialists. No matter how much they are denying it, even they with their godless agenda are proving by their actions that God’s Word is true, when it says in Matthew 7:20, “… by their fruits ye shall know them.” No matter what they say, no matter how often they play chameleons, their fruits speak louder than their mouths.
Next, economy. Using billions of taxpayer’s money to place such giant corporation like GM under government control, using more billions for puppet control of major US banks, what is it if not socialism? Did it all began a year ago? No! Although today’s government is very obsessed with transforming this country into United Socialistic America without any regards to the will of American people, placing all blames on president would be as wrong as worshiping him. Show me puppet masters, they must be brought to the stage to hear from you that you are sick and tired of their show and then be removed from the stage without any bonus pay. They are responsible for taxing your income, for creating Federal Reserve, for Social Security scam, for UN socialist agency in the heart of America, for public school system that starts brain damage in children and for media that should make brain damage irreversible. With all these and many other things they were building their altar to sacrifice us there. They are real voices behind puppet’s teleprompter speeches. Now we need to see real faces… behind the bars! Then, maybe… MAYBE… the coming elections will make a difference. I hear it all the time: “WE have to be patient, just wait till elections come, then we will have a huge win!” AND??? What will happen then? Another 4 or 8 years, just to be humiliated again? Can we demand from those who want to be elected that they take their job seriously and start undoing the socialistic damage? If not, then they cannot represent us, not me, definitely. Because, we’re here not to waste our lives by following puppeteer’s lead. Talking about economy, every dollar has a value of a human life in it, taking your money through taxes, government takes minutes, hours and years of your life that you will never get back and if government wasted these money, the did it to human lives. Let’s look and see how many lives were wasted last year by socialists in government. Let’s take that 800 billions they assigned for their purposes. Of course you know they lied by saying it was for creating jobs, for saving economy.
Following calculations are not any kind of statistic data, it’s just my way to show you the real damage these socialists are doing. Let’s say, average American makes 20 dollars before taxes, plus if he could double it through lifetime interest, it could be 40 dollars. Multiply it on 8 hours a day, it is 320 $, 5 days a week – 1,600 $. 52 week in a year average you or me making 83,200 USD. Multiply it on average 45 years of work and here’s our price: 3,744,000! Let’s divide 800,000,000,000 : 3,744,000 and we have 213,675 lives sacrificed on the altar of socialism in 2009. Consider that these money were borrowed and any debt is slavery, here we have over 200,000 of our fellow Americans enslaved for life! Let’s do the same with National debt of 12 trillions divided by 3,744,000 – and we have 3,205,128 slaves! Can you imagine American government sending 3 million peoples to China and other countries to pay America’s debt? Well, you’ve got the picture! Did you ever think that each dollar is actually a debt note? Government borrows from Federal Reserve and gives it to you, passing on debt!? Why we need to hold that debt notes in our hands that government borrowed to enslave our lives? Right! We need to buy food, to pay for different kinds of energy we use, etc. If we could produce our own food, our own energy, wouldn’t that minimize the waste of human life? Yes, I think it would! That’s why I love Self-Sufficient Homestead! Cheers to you, guys! And to everyone who refuses to let socialist government to eat you up!
The last thing I’d like to discuss in this podcast is Education. Of course there are many more areas in America, affected by socialism, but, because of time limits we will leave them for future podcasts. However, education is extremely important to leave it untouched with today’s message. American public education is in terrible state, which can be described as the state of socialist coma when only extreme measures may work. American school, by my personal observation, became ideological incubator of the left. Since the 1919 when communists, painted as progressives, founded their Education Association with the goal of reforming American education, they soaked it in materialism, Darwinism, atheism, and other destructive “isms” teaching children the world view and thinking separate from God and His Word. Parents, who call themselves Christians allow godless socialism poison to be injected in their children’s minds and hearts, by sending them to public schools. I may sound a bit radical, but if we want to save American future, we as parents need to take care of our own children’s education. This country’s education is controlled by government, and now even more – by socialist government. We need God-fearing, God-loving, God-respecting, God-honoring revolt against godless atheistic, socialistic brain-damaging and enslaving indoctrination. Whether with vouchers or without, we must decide where and how our kids are educated. If more and more people will follow it now, the righteous path will be treaded for the future generation to follow. Eventually, instead of property taxes that are used to teach against our beliefs and values, government must leave it to us, parents, to decide where, in which school our money will go. Will your congressional candidates fight for this? Ask them! It’s time to decide if the America will be the land of the free and the beacon of freedom or the land of socialist zombies with brains and souls permanently damaged by slave-reproducing Marxist propaganda. I’ve seen them. I lived among them. I do not want it anymore!!! Here too, I’m talking about education, we need to be self-sufficient, not depending on government-controlled education. Will you stand beside me and say: “Alex, I’m with you, I want better future for me and my children!” Or you decided to give up and allow the true author of socialism, Prince of Darkness, to take over your children and, eventually, over America’s future.

Today is Monday, January 18th, year 2010 and it is also Martin Luther King Day. Although my knowledge of this man is probably limited to his Wikipedia biography, I still have something to say and you, my listeners will judge if I’m right or not. And I will also have to use the “N” word, not to offend anyone, but to draw for you the picture of socialistic past I survived in Soviet Union by quoting directly from that past. I never use this word in my personal vocabulary to express myself in relation to black people. I have friends from all races and even tried to get on this show at least one of my African born friends who studied in Soviet Union, but no one was available for this time. Well, if you are still not convinced of my good intentions, then just press “stop” button on your player, understanding that I warned you and that’s it! I won’t apologize for referential usage of the word that is part of Russian and Ukrainian language. There is another analogy that I’m used to live with. The word “zhid” is offensive if you’ll say it to Russian Jew, but in Polish if you wan to say Jew, you’ll say “zhid”. And there would be a wide emotional gap between hateful use of this word in Russia and compassionate use of it by one of my Polish friends.
Living in Soviet Union, I remember myself crying when I read the Uncle Tom’s Cabin of Harriet Beecher Stowe. I felt compassion to suffering American Negroes. Based on Uncle Tom’s story there even was a song that persecuted underground Christians sang in their services. Listen to these words:
In one State Tom was a slave,
Negro’s life was hard on the Earth.
But he dreamed of better State
Wonderful, not of this Earth,
In Heaven, in Heaven.
Sounds like hateful song? No! Christians sand it with passion and compassion, because they were treated by Soviet Socialist regime as bad as black people in America during slavery and in post-slavery period. Can you imagine this: Soviet propaganda used “suffering Negroes” mantra against American capitalism or imperialism while running USSR – Union of Socialist Slave Republics? While I do not know if MLK himself was socialist or communist, I believe he was used by and associated with Communist Party USA by keeping close friendship with American socialist Bayard Rustin, who traveled to Moscow in 1958 while he was King’s personal secretary; with Stanley Levison and others who often lived on money, donated by Soviet comrades and taken from us, Soviet slaves. It was our blood and sweat that American socialists were sucking. It’s not a secret anymore that Communist Party USA was controlled and financed by Soviet regime. Nevertheless, while Dr King surrounded himself with bunch of socialists, I would naturally think that pastor King would fight within him against Communist ideology. I think, as a Christian he understood that Communism wants to take God’s space in man’s heart and decided to remain with his Lord. However, by allowing evil elements in his camp, by having friendship with the evil socialist system of this world, he entered the state of enmity with God, according to James 4:4, he cut himself off greater destiny. Instead, evil seeds of socialism sown then bear their fruits now. And the black American community is the one that is reaping the bitter fruits of compromise with socialism. Don’t you see more abortions, more destroyed families with fatherless kids, more crime and drug abuse, targeting primarily black Americans? I often think how much better America would be if MLK had chosen different path and stayed away from socialist elements and Hindu philosophy. I’m not attacking Hindus with their non-violent doctrine, I’m just saying that as Christian Pastor, MLK took upon himself the obligation to follow Bible as his guidance and keeping faithfulness to God. I think where all that self-reverends like Jackson, Sharpton and Wright would be now if MLK was true reverend and showed them true light of God in Christ. And maybe he would side with the persecuted Christians and Jews in the USSR, helping them to tear down the Iron Curtain of Soviet tyranny. That would be the dreams of my father who spent almost 6 of his best years in Siberian lumbering labor camp to pay bills of degenerated socialistic kings and queens around the globe. King would definitely receive the award from heavenly Father for saving innocent lives. Instead, he was busy collecting earthly cash awards. In 1966, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America awarded King the Margaret Sanger Award. Who are they, this Planned Parenthood and Margaret Sanger? Another wasp nest of socialism, dedicated to the destruction of human life, leading defenders of late-term abortions. Well, I’d like to conclude my short analysis of Martin Luther King’s connections to socialism with this famous Russian piece of people’s wisdom saying: “Tell me who is your friend and I will tell you who you are.” I think American government is such a disaster now in big part because American people didn’t apply this principle to examine the connections of their candidates, before electing them to the office. And now people expect that somehow these goats in the office will act like cows, as if the White House and congress offices have a magical transforming power and all goats suddenly will say – Moo! Or that racially mixed goat will say “Moo” better, than just black or just white goat. As for MLK’s Day, it’s up to you, Americans, you know him better. And I can’t argue with Reagan and Bush Sr. who made it a National holiday. But I’d rather have Washington Day or Lincoln Day… Ah, you need holiday named after black man?! Then call it “Uncle Tom’s Day”. That sounds better for me. As President Alex I’ll sign it into a law. What?! I must be a natural born citizen? I thought in this country it doesn’t matter anymore! (Laugh!) Seriously, I’d better go with Uncle Tom who demonstrates great moral strength and is better Christian than the white slave-owners depicted in the novel. And he is better Christian than MLK. Therefore I dedicate this podcast to black people like him and like some of my black friends whom I met while living in Soviet Union. Some of them even got famous internationally, but most are unknown who nevertheless collectively made significant contribution to Soviet socialism dissolution. As a part of an effort in spreading socialism worldwide Soviet government widely opened the doors of its colleges, universities welcoming foreign students, mostly from Africa, Latin America and Asia. In Moscow there was and maybe still is the Friendship of the Nations University, that was built to accommodate foreign students whom soviets saw as future revolutionaries. Well, some of them were; but, many students, especially from Africa, were already committed Christians before coming to Soviet Union. After arrival to Moscow first they had Russian language course before been sent to other soviet cities. Because some of them spoke English, some – French, studying common language – Russian – helped them to organize student groups where they worshipped God together and sought God’s direction in reaching both, fellow students and soviet people, with the Word of God. Even after being disseminated throughout USSR they kept in touch and met at least once a year. With the help of local students and through other opportunities they were able to find local believers. Sometimes they would first find the officially registered church whose members eventually helped them to establish contacts with Christian underground. Placing their education and well-being at risk those black students were shining bright with love and passion of Christ. Some of them not only helped existing churches, but started many new churches. In Ukraine only I know at least 5 successful black pastors, former African students, with 99 % of white members in their churches. The pastor of a largest church in Ukraine and probably in whole Europe is former journalism student from Nigeria who studied in former Soviet Republic of Belarus. Many African students who decided to stay in former SU married white Christian ladies and they serve God together showing the world that all people are one in Christ, whether black, white, yellow or red. Those black Africans I was talking about – they are free people, because first of all they are free inside. And they keep sharing that true freedom with former slaves of socialism. Even in Soviet Union they were sometimes beaten and stabbed, but never lost the joy of the Lord that was their strength. I don’t remember them complaining about poor African life or about difficulties of being black students in USSR.
I challenge you, black Americans, stop whining and playing racial card, stop blaming white people for all your problems and break away from socialism that keeps enslaving you by pouring fuel on the flame of your self-pity. Today is January, a month named after double-faced Roman god Janus whose image depicts what socialism is and does: with one side speaks to people, promising freedom and prosperity while at the same time with opposite face speaks to the prince of eternal darkness, promising him to keep you slaves forever. At this time, when many churches have special services in memory of pastor King, I’d like also to read one Bible verse, important for this holiday, from 2nd Peter 2:19: “While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants (Russian Bible says “slaves”) of corruption; for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.” The following verse confirms that the last bondage is much worse than the first. Uncle Tom seems to be very upset by the fact that you so easily exchanged your hard-earned freedom for filthy promises of socialism. Also you probably know from history that it often were black African kings who sold other blacks into slavery. Well, if you enjoy your socialism slavery and its slave masters like Pelosi and Reed who surely know better than you do what is good for you, then fall on your knees and thank your King.
What if you are not enjoying this socialism slavery? What if you are upset by it like I was while living in the USSR? Then thank me for this podcast but bow down before the Lord thy God. As I continue to unmask socialism and its communist ideology, the time has come to expose the very core of it, its nature and origin summarized it the title of the Socialism Survival Podcast show # 16, which is: “Evil Roots Of Socialism”. But, before we jump into the swirl of shocking revelations, let me get you through some important points of our community organizing. Yes, we’re organizing a community here, but with the purpose other than the mister from Chicago. We have founders of this country turning in their graves and crying to us for help, because they are very uncomfortable with what this mister is doing. On the other hand our unborn children are begging us for the future. They aren’t even asking us for a better future, but for a future at all. But… we are not doing enough even to secure our own freedom for this generation! When both, House and Senate, have their versions of Health Slavery Bill and they about to put the final Bill on presidential desk, many still think that simply protesting from the comfort of your home by calling your congressmen somehow will work! Yes, it could be successfully used as a part of another, well organized strategy that assume gradually increasing pressure on people’s servants that occupy Washington DC. I’m talking about same old strategy that Christ taught his disciples which is laid out in the Book of Acts 1:8, “… you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” I’m not preaching religion here, I’m saying that we must take successful strategies of ancient and recent history and use it. What started with Tea Parties and Town hall protests could be successfully continued in State capitals and in US Capital. I’m not saying about occasional protests, but ongoing non-stop action. Ukrainian Orange revolution is the powerful example of the recent history. When people’s candidate was poisoned and presidential elections were stolen by pro-Russian political mafia, people organized both – local protests and also flooded Kiev, Ukrainian capital, surrounded government buildings and lived in tents in the heart of the city, keeping the pressure on election committee, Supreme Court, and Rada – the Ukrainian Parliament, refusing to leave until true justice prevailed. Will American people rise up, stand against tyranny, defending freedom and Constitution? Well, I hope, if our community organizing will be more effective, than socialistic Alinsky style organizing. That’s why I’m so determined to keep doing my part. That’s why I’m inviting you to join me on Socialism Survival forum, because I want to make sure this message is taken seriously and that you are there willing to do your part in spreading it, using “Acts 1:8” strategy.
And now ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, please join me in exposing the Evil Roots of Socialism. First, we need to see it with our own eyes and then we’ll be able to show others what socialism really is and what are its roots and destination. The destination they promise you is communism, the system when people will enjoy living in idealistic utopian society, for easy understanding it is almost like the Kingdom of God… without God! Can you imagine living in the society where no one, no boss, no government tells you what to do, you just enjoy working according to your abilities while having everything according to your needs. When someone claims to be the communism survivor, I’d like to ask, where he or she can show me the society I just described? I want to go there to check it out… ha-ha-ha… if God will send His guarding angels to back me up! Well, maybe Communist Party elite that lost all their privileges after Soviet camp collapsed… maybe they are communism survivors, as they were the only ones who enjoyed mini-communism they created for themselves on the bones of the working class. They definitely enjoyed their work of spending our tax money (as they do now) and they had everything they needed, again, at the worker’s class expense. Or maybe current communist dictators, like Castro, Chavez or Kim Chong Il if removed from power but not executed, will claim the title of communism survivors. I don’t know. What I do know that every attempt to build communist utopia ended up in so called developing or developed socialism with permanent proletariat dictatorship, while communism remains as their doctrine, ghost or lure for stupid. As an example, imagine stubborn donkey whose master to make him move, sitting on that donkey holds one end of a long stick while the other end with a bunch of juicy grass attached to it hangs in front of donkey’s face. That grass represents communism. Donkey represents enslaved people. But who is the master? Keep reading and you will learn.
What communists did in every country they ruled, they came and removed, often – executed lawful government of that country. Why? For people’s good! They destroyed or took away businesses. Why? Of course, for people’s well-being! And that’s what they are busy doing right here and right now as if they know better what is good for you. That’s what your beloved Mister from Chicago whom you call Mister President is doing right now, pushing his socialistic health scare. Why? Because he knows better than you what is good for you. He, according to his own writing, got that knowledge from Marxist professors that he loved listening to. Calling them “Marxists” means of course that they were faithful followers of Karl Marx, founding father of socialism and its communist ideology who, along with Friedrich Engels and Vladimir Lenin is responsible for creating and spreading that dangerous plague that killed millions of innocent people worldwide.
Young Marx
Understanding life and works of Karl Marx is crucial in discovering and understanding the roots of socialism. And if we will understand the roots of socialism that are invisible, being hidden underground, then we will understand also the branches that are above the ground and are visible in the lives of modern politicians that are pushing this country towards socialism, using any means possible. Romans 11:16 says that “if the root be holy, so are the branches”. And contrariwise, if the root be evil, so are the branches. There are some wild berries in Russia that look nice and taste good, but anyone who eats them dies. Same are results of socialism and its agents. They sugarcoat their speeches to mask the poison.
Before I go deeper in analyzing the life and achievements of Karl Marx, I’d like to thank God for Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, whose books I had chance to read back in Soviet Union, some were illegal handwritten copies. He was persecuted for his faith in Communist Romania, which is reflected in such his books as “Tortured for Christ”, “With God in Solitary Confinement”, “If Prison Walls Could Speak” and other titles. After he was released, he became a voice for the persecuted underground believers in Communist countries, exposing to the West true face of Communist regimes. Although I was really impressed by his books about persecution, torture, still it was something I knew from real life, something that became a personal history for our family and me. But, when I got hold of his book I’m about to introduce, it instantly became my favorite. It’s the book about two persons whose rebellion against God inspired many and made that persecution and torture possible. Although I knew about these two separately, while suspecting that they might be close to each other, Pastor Wurmbrand through his deep research and analysis showed to me and to whole world how much these two are related. Let me introduce to you both – them and the book title: “Marx & Satan”. This book begins with a refutation of a popular misconception: that Marx himself was very compassionate and truly cared for the poor. In reality, Marx and his close friend and co-author of the Communist Manifesto Engels both grew up in wealthy families, and together they pursued an anti-Christian utopia that – from the beginning – focused on power not meeting the needs of the poor. Like the kind of change we see today, their social transformation required a “crisis” and “purpose” that would capture public attention and provide the momentum needed for socialist change.
Karl Marx was introduced early to Christianity. In his youth, he even appeared to be a devout Christian. But Marx’ views had radically changed soon after he finished the German high school. As Pastor Wurmbrand explains:
“…a new Marx began to emerge. He writes in a poem, “I wish to avenge myself against the One who rules above.” So he was convinced that there is One above who rules. … Marx belonged to a relatively well-to-do family. He had not hungered in his childhood. He was much better off than many fellow students. What produced this terrible hatred against God? No personal motive is known. …why should he have written these lines in his poem “Invocation of One in Despair?”
So a god has snatched from me my all
In the curse and rack of destiny.
All his worlds are gone beyond recall!
Nothing but revenge is left to me!
I shall build my throne high overhead,
Cold, tremendous shall its summit be.
For its bulwark — superstitious dread.
For its Marshall — blackest agony.
The words “I shall build my throne high overhead” and the confession that from the one sitting on this throne will emanate only dread and agony, remind us of Lucifer who proudly boasted: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.” (read it in Isaiah 14:13)
But why does Marx wish such a throne? The answer is found in a little-known drama which he also composed during his student years. It is called Oulanem. What this name means? Well, there is so called Satanist church. One of thing they love to do is to twist, to distort God’s names and use it in the black mass rituals, that are followed by orgies. Oulanem is twisted form of the name Emmanuel which literally translates from Hebrew “With us – God”.
A strange confession which Marx made in a poem called The Player, will help us to understand the drama Oulanem:
The hellish vapors rise and fill the brain,
Till I go mad and my heart is utterly changed.
See this sword? The prince of darkness sold it to me. -
For me beats the time and gives the signs.
Ever more boldly I play the dance of death.
Now I quote from [Marx's] drama Oulanem:
And they are also Oulanem, Oulanem.
The name rings forth like death, rings forth
Until it dies away in a wretched crawl.
Stop, I’ve got it now! It rises from my soul….
Yet I have power within my youthful arms
To clench and crush you [i.e., personified humanity] with tempestuous force,
While for us both the abyss yawns in darkness.
You will sink down and I shall follow laughing,
Whispering in your ears, “Descend, come with me, friend.”
The Bible which Marx had studied in his high school years… says that the devil will be bound by an angel and cast into the bottomless pit (abyssos in Greek: see Revelation 20:3). Marx wishes to draw the whole of mankind into this pit reserved for the devil and his angels…
Marx had loved the words of Mephistopheles in Faust, “Everything in existence is worth being destroyed.” Everything — including the proletariat and the comrades. Marx quoted these words…. Stalin acted on them and destroyed even his own family.
The Satanist sect is not materialistic. It believes in eternal life. Oulanem, the person for whom Marx speaks, does not contest eternal life. He asserts it, but as a life of hate magnified to its extreme.
[Marx'] correspondence with his father testifies to his squandering great sums of money on pleasures and his constant quarreling with parental authority about this and other matters. Then he might have fallen in with the tenets of the highly secret Satanist church and received the rites of initiation. Satan, whom his worshippers see in their hallucinatory orgies, speaks through them. Thus Marx is only Satan’s mouthpiece when he utters in his poem Invocation of One in Despair the words, “I wish to avenge myself against the One who rules above.”
Look at the end of Oulanem:
If there is a Something which devours,
I’ll leap within it, though I bring the world to ruins—
The world which bulks between me and the abyss
I will smash to pieces with my enduring curses…
In Oulanem Marx does what the devil does: he consigns the entire human race to damnation. Oulanem is probably the only drama in the world in which all the characters are aware of their own corruption, which they flaunt and celebrate with conviction. In this drama there is no black and white… All are satanic, corrupt, and doomed.
When he wrote these things, Marx… was eighteen. His life’s program had already been established. There was no word about serving mankind, the proletariat, or socialism. He wished to bring the world to ruin. He wished to build for himself a throne whose bulwark should be human shudder.[p.16]
Wurmbrand found some “cryptic passages” as he read the letters between Marx and his father:
The son writes, ‘My holy of holies was rent asunder and new gods had to be installed.’
On March 2, 1837, Marx’s father writes to his son: “Your advancement, the dear hope to see your name being once of great repute, and your earthly well-being are not the only desires of my heart…. Only if your heart remains pure and beats humanly and if no demon will be able to alienate your heart from better feelings, only then will I be happy.”
What made a father express suddenly the fear of demonic influence upon a young son who until then had been a confessed Christian? Was it the poems he received as a present from his son for his 55th birthday? The following quotation is taken from Marx’s poem On Hegel:
Words I teach all mixed up into a devilish muddle.
Thus, anyone may think just what he chooses to think.’
In his poem The Pale Maiden, he writes:

Let’s look at the connections that led to socialism and Communism:
Marx met Moses Hess, the man who… made him embrace the Socialist idea. Hess calls him “Dr. Marx–my idol, who will give the last kick to medieval religion”…
…The same Moses Hess convinced Engels to become a Communist. Hess writes after he met Engels in Cologne, “He parted from me as an over-zealous Communist. This is how I produce ravages.“ To produce ravages — was this Hess’s supreme purpose in life? It is Lucifer’s, too.”

Georg Jung, another friend of Marx at that time, writes in 1841… that Marx will surely chase God from his heaven…. Marx calls Christianity one of the most immoral religions.
One of his partners in the First International was Mikhail Bakunin, a Russian anarchist, who wrote: “…here steps in Satan, the eternal rebel, the first freethinker and the emancipator of worlds…[urges] him to disobey and eat the fruit of knowledge.”… He writes: “In this revolution we will have to awaken the devil in the people, to stir up the basest passions.”
Bakunin reveals that Proudhon, another major Socialist thinker and at that time a friend of Karl Marx, also “worshipped Satan.” … Proudhon…declared that God was the prototype for injustice. “… Every step forward is a victory in which we overcome the Divine.”…
In Marx’s poems Invocation of One in Despair and Human Pride, man’s supreme ‘supplication is for his own greatness. If man is doomed to perish through his own greatness, this will be a cosmic catastrophe, but he will die as a godlike being, mourned by demons.
Marx’ ballad The Player records the singer’s complaints against a God who neither knows nor respects his art. ‘It emerges from the dark abyss of hell, “bedeviling the mind and bewitching the heart, and his dance is the dance of death….
Art emerging from the dark abyss of hell, bedeviling the mind…. This reminds us of the words of the American revolutionist Jerry Rubin in Do It: “We’ve combined youth, music,, sex, drugs, and rebellion with treason — and that’s a combination hard to beat.”It surelylooks for me like amodern combination too!
In His poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin in and the enjoy it being ruined:
With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.
…The obvious reason for Marx’s conversion to Communism appears clearly in a letter of his friend Georg Jung to Ruge. It is not taking care of the proletariat, nor the establishing of a better social order. Jung writes: “If Marx, Bruno Bauer and Feuerbach associate to found a theological-political review, God would do well to surround himself with all his angels and indulge in self-pity, for these three will certainly drive Him out of heaven…”
Well, the results of Karl Marx activism are obvious: God is still in His heaven, many godless people who followed him are now in hell and many millions of innocent lives destroyed, including members of Marx own family. And in the light of all you’ve just heard, there are no doubt concerning what American Marxists are working on.
Remember my example in the beginning? Well, now you know, who is the real master that lures the donkey to the slaughter house. And maybe that’s not the coincidence that donkey is the symbol for democratic Party?!

Podcast # 15 I dedicated to importance of setting goals for Socialism Survival. I covered two aspects of it: goals for Socialism Survival Podcast and goals for everyone’s personal Socialism Survival.
What are my plans and goals for Socialism Survival Podcast? First, keeping it alive! Time pressure is enormous for me and I hope with better planning I’ll be organized better. Podcasting is something new for me and subsequently it is absolutely new and unplanned for my family. Everyone in our home had to adjust to this new venture, without knowing what to expect. I just realized that I have a message and wanted to get it out. I had some recording equipment and skills, some medium level of understanding how internet works, but I still had to learn a lot, sometimes with very costly mistakes. For example, in the very beginning I opened Google AdSense account and, without understanding of some important things about it, got it shut down by Google very quickly. I’m still figuring out many things, especially how to get my message to as many people as possible. Thanks to my friends from “traffic tool belt” who gave me free subscription to test their service I’m learning a lot and will apply here the strategies I learn. If you are also like me who needs deeper knowledge about successful internet traffic strategies, check out this great learning place, by going to socialismsurvival.com and clicking their banner in top right corner of my front page. Anyone who subscribes to their service through my site also will contribute to this podcast’s success. This year there are plans for speaking engagements at undisclosed locations. I won’t say anything more about that…
Of course all plans are being set to reach specific goals. For this podcast I set two important goals. First is to have 1000 subscribers by the end of 2010. Second, we need to get Socialism Survival Forum running with at least 200 active members. Well set forum is great community organizing tool. And I need your help to get this forum on its feet. Not for me, but for educating American people about socialism, for winning younger generation, already brainwashed into socialistic ideology. I want to see more and more people who care not only for personal survival, but for survival of United States of America as Freedom Republic.
Let’s talk now about setting goals for everyone’s personal Socialism Survival. We all need to set these goals for ourselves. I cannot tell you what you should do in order to survive Socialism. All I can do is to share with you existing levels or steps of Socialism survival preparedness and my goals in achieving it. But it’s up to you, if you decide to follow my example, or will have your own way.
First is Base level, or physical level. Here we’re taking care of our physical bodies and those of our loved ones. Where you will get food for you and your family when usual ways like driving to Wal-Mart and shopping won’t be there anymore? What you will do if pharmacy will not carry your medicine anymore? Maybe it’s time to stop destroying your body with junk food and start eating healthy? It’s better to eliminate the need for medicine than to rely upon socialistic system that will not take care of your healthcare needs. The best way to care for our bodies is to grow our own food and medicinal plants and to have good knowledge where and how in the wild nature we can find both sources of food and medicinal plants. There are many good sources on the internet, dedicated for physical preparedness, survival, self-sufficiency. I’ll recommend few that I know of, like Survival Podcast @ thesurvivalpodcast.com, Self-sufficient homestead @ sshomestead.com, preparedness podcast @ prepcast.info. Start with these 3 sources and through them you’ll find many other places online. In addition to food and healthcare, it is important to exercise regularly, to acquire valuable skills and various tools to use with these skills. Everyone needs a lot of human connections and hiding places, better when kept in secret which will be life saving if socialists will have full control of government and will unleash physical persecution of opposition.
Second level is mind and emotions. These are under constant attack from multiple socialistic sources. To my sad observation, many Americans either lost or have significantly reduced their ability to distinct between good and evil on this level and became an easy prey to socialism hawk who occupy media, mental and emotional healthcare. To their service are also many undercover institutions and agents, who work non-stop to create and spread fear and anxiety like a virus, to manipulate general population behavior. Preparedness on this level is in avoiding of any direct attack, treatment and chemical poisoning by any of these socialistic sources. Remember, devil appears as the angel of light to get you first – excited and then – trapped. Also, exercise your mind and emotions in your family and in the circle of like-minded friends who also understand the importance of mental an emotional preparedness and will not waste your and their precious time just playing cards or dominoes, for example.
Third is spiritual level. Two keywords on this level are: attack and withstand. There will be times when you’ll need to be spiritually ready to attack and times to withstand the pressure of the spiritual, demonic side of socialism and communism. The major battle against socialism is to be fought on this level, because socialism and its ideological foundation in communism aren’t just products of human mind, but rather of the evil spiritual realm that is able to control people’s minds and even manipulate people’s bodies to behave abnormally and disorderly. Remember, our major battle is not against flesh and blood. If you are Christian, take your Bible and read Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10 through 18 to understand what I’m talking about. I have my way of spiritual exercise and preparedness and those who seek shall find their ways.

First of all I’d like to wish to all my listeners and readers a Happy New Year 2010!!!
In podcast, first part is made of listener’s messages, which I will leave only in audio.
Here now I’d like to move to my second part of this podcast and share with you some basic points or principles of Socialism Survival. Of course, I’m talking about us to survive, not socialism, although I could talk a lot why socialism survived so far, but our survival of socialism is more important.
First, is the knowledge. And that is why this podcast exists: to give you and your family the knowledge about socialism, it’s strong and weak sides, it’s tactics and manipulations to advance in capturing and controlling peoples and territories. Although in different context, but I like Hosea 4:6, where God says: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. Actually, knowledge is needed to have faith in God. Because faith comes from hearing of the Word of God, shared by someone with the knowledge of that Word. Therefore, number two on my list is:
Ffaith in GOD. As I already shared with you in previous podcasts, faith helped people to endure and withstand in the midst of fierce persecutions. Soviet Communist Party First Secretary Nukita Khrushchev who continued persecutions of believers promised to show last believer in 1970th. While he himself died in 1971, faith in God survived not only him, but all Soviet socialistic system. By the time of Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991 there were more believers in USSR, than when Khrushchev died. American socialists know that true faith in God is more powerful, than all their ideology, that’s why they are continuously attacking Bible and those who believe in God and His Word.
Next to our relationship with God as number 3 on my survival list I put human relationships. It includes family relations, friendship, neighbor to neighbor relations and membership in faith-based groups. Whether it was church or other kind of congregation, people helped each other building houses and basements, planting gardens and harvesting crops, watching children, offering food and money to the needy. As it was true to all close human relationships in Soviet Union, I believe it still will be true everywhere people are or will be oppressed by socialism. There is one more thing I should mention while talking about human relations and it is the word “BLAT”. It could be translated as “favor” with specific Soviet flavor. How It worked? Lets say, for example, to survive Russian winter Peter needs to buy a warm leather coat. Of course, he wakes up early in the morning and, before store opens, he takes his legs and money to the store where he finds out that 10 coats just arrived to the store and… 100 people already in line to buy it! They obviously woke up even earlier. Disappointed, Peter is about to leave, when he sees Maria, his neighbor’s granddaughter.
Hi, Maria, I’m Peter, your grandma’s neighbor, do you remember me?
Good morning, Peter, of course I remember you. Grandma can’t stop talking about you fixing her roof, thanks for helping her!
Anytime, Maria… Are you here so early to buy something?
No, Peter, this is my work, I am supervisor in this store. Do you need something?
Yes, winter is coming, I need new leather coat, but look how many people here and I’ve heard there are only 10 coats…
Don’t worry, Peter, come back at noon, I may have one your size.
Noon time. Huge crowd is gone when Peter returns to the store. Maria takes him to back office where she opens two more doors and they end up in a large fitting room, twice the size of the one in the store. Five new coats and other stuff draw Peter’s attention.
American jeans?!!! You have it too?!!!
Well, sometimes… This pair was left for communist party boss’ teenage daughter. Next time we’ll get more I will save for you too. Try this coat…(pause) perfect!

In ten minutes Peter walks out of the store, happy owner of new leather coat. Now he’s ready to survive many winters in his life, thanks to… “BLAT!” BLAT worked not only when buying something, but to get good job, or pay raise, or to go up on professional or partisan ladder.
Number 4 on my list is self-sufficiency. Here I have 3 subcategories: a) skills; b)production; c)storage. It includes growing fruits, vegetables; raising various poultry for meat, eggs and feather; raising cattle, goats for meat, milk and leather, sheep – for all above plus wool. Hunting, bee keeping, construction, carpentry, tailoring, shoemaking and repair, cutting hair, mechanic skills – all are important for self-sufficient lifestyle. Although Soviet system didn’t allow people to own land, we still were allowed to have permanent rent of land from government where we could build a house and grow our own food. My father was good gardener, barber and shoe fixer. Having 7 boys and 2 girls, he saved a lot of money simply by cutting our hair and repairing our shoes. Mom would resize our shirts and pants and even fix holes on our socks. My grandpa was also good gardener, plus he was bee keeper, “burki” maker (that’s the word for felt boots with leather soles, popular in Soviet villages) and he was known in people’s medicine as someone who knew how to prepare various healing ointments using herbs and bee products. Everyone in our family participated in growing food and then – in preserving it. Potatoes, carrots, beets, onion and garlic were store on basement floor, while shelves were filled with glass jars. Almost everything was preserved in these jars. Half and one liter jars were used mostly for jams, fruit purees, juices. Larger, 2 and 3 liter jars were used for whole fruits and berries, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded cabbage, various mixed vegetable salads and even meat. Self-sufficiency in food meant for us to have enough stored food to get to next harvest.
Of course, not only food had to be stored in sufficient amounts, but many other things, like coal for heating and cooking in the house during cold season, nails, wood, plywood, pipes and other things for emergency fixes.
Such thing like producing own energy, although was absolutely impossible for us there, but if available here, would be great for self-sufficiency. As well as staying debt free and having enough cash or other means of exchange for emergency situations. Having big family with low income, my parents never borrowed money, on the contrary, our neighbors often came to my dad asking to borrow some cash from him for a week or even one or few months. And he never demanded interest from his borrowers.
Fifth principle I would put this way: forget socialism and it’s ideology as much as you can, even if you are in the midst of it. Live you life full of interests that are important to you. while living through socialism, I loved listening to short wave radio, tuning into capitalistic and religious stations, I was reading a lot of books, wrote my own stories and poetries, listened to music, composed my own music, played guitar and sang songs, collected stamps, coins and even chewing gum from different countries. As teenagers we loved to have a company of friends getting together, sharing music, playing games, like soccer, ping-pong, checkers, telling jokes and funny stories. Shortly saying, entertainment! We loved visiting our grandparents in the village, playing there in the field, fishing, swimming in the river.
Let me say this: hard working, self-sufficient person or family need to switch sometimes from work to something else and relax. Even being oppressed by socialistic regime. own you life as much as you can. That’s what I did. When they wanted me to read their books, I read my books; when they wanted me to sing their songs, I sang my songs; when they wanted me to believe in communism I kept believing in my God; when they wanted me to laugh at their jokes that mocked capitalists, priests, Jews, I laughed at jokes about stupidity of socialism, its communist ideology and short-minded party leaders.
Well, its actually time for some soviet entertainment. Today I have few Soviet anecdotes for you.
“Soviet sparrow flew over the border to the West.
- Is it so bad with food in Russia? – asks Western sparrow.
- No, they have plenty! Nowhere you’ll find so much grain on the ground as in Russia.
- So, why you didn’t stay there?
- I wanted badly to chirp!
Brezhnev invited cosmonauts to his office.
- Comrades! Americans landed on the moon! We decided, you will fly to the sun!
- But, tovarishch Brezhnev, we’ll burn!!!
- Don’t worry, comrades, our party took care of everything. You’ll fly at night!
Soviet collective farm. All cows wear muzzles.
- Are they biting?
- No, eating too much!!!
Judge comes out from the court, laughing.
Why are you laughing? – he is asked.
- I’ve heard anecdote there.
- Then tell us, so we could laugh!
- I can’t. Just sentenced to 10 years someone who told it.
All right, it’s time to round up. Whatever didn’t fit in this podcast will have its continuation in the future. Maybe in someone’s opinion, the order of survival points should be different. Well, this is my order, yours may be different than mine and I’m OK with that, most important is to have all of them activated in your life. And I hope the coming year 2010 will be the year of activation. If you are wondering why I didn’t talk about resistance against socialism, please look deeper into these points and you’ll see it there. You’ll be in active resistance to socialism gaining knowledge, believing in God, maintaining relationships and living self-sufficient life instead of relying on socialistic government system. And when socialism will rot again from inside, as it was in Soviet Union, it will collapse. (Again, I say this assuming socialism is already here…) You thing it’s not? Then do something to prevent it.

OK, let’s talk about religious holidays and how they survived within socialism environment. I’ll try to keep short but informative. Therefore I’ll move straight on by saying that I won’t support any illusions of peaceful co-existence of church and socialist state (if America becomes one), just because America is so special and is much different than Russia was before October Revolution in 1917.
I watch closely what’s going on in this country in relation to religion since my first visit to the States in 1992 as a guest of a large ministerial association. Later same year because of my positive activity I was given an honorary citizenship in one of US cities. I’m not saying that to boast, but to show you that if I cared for you and your country 17 years ago while living in the Ukraine, I care even more now as I live here, being married to a beautiful American citizen and raising two precious little US citizens. So now I pay even closer attention to what is the attitude of American people and government towards religious freedom in this country, which includes the freedom to celebrate religious holidays of your choice. Comparing things then and now I see clearly the threats and dangers coming either directly from communists and socialists, or from organizations and people, especially politicians and lawyers, supported by them. When politicians ignore the Constitution and lawyers misinterpret and distort its meaning and when these two groups bond together then the threats and dangers are materialized in dictatorship and persecution. And that’s what they up to! Their goal is to control where you live, how long you live, how many children and how much money you can have, what you eat and even what holidays you can celebrate. Socialists and other left “-ists” always knew that they cannot successfully control the masses if they completely remove religious holidays from people’s lives. They knew that people need holiday’s celebrations to stay happy and that happy slaves are better slaves. Therefore they replaced faith in God and eternal life with faith in communism and its bright utopian future. And they replaced religious holidays with their substitutes while also adding other holidays dedicated to unholy history of socialism. Unlike American calendar, Soviet calendar didn’t have any religious holidays in it.
Here is the list of major Soviet holidays:
February 23rd – Soviet Army and Navy Day;
March 8th – International Woman’s Day;
May 1st – International Worker’s Solidarity Day;
May 9th – Victory Day;
November 7th – Great October Socialist Revolution Holiday; and finally,
December 31st – January 1st – New Year.
Lets look inside these Soviet holidays to see if we’ll find there a trace of God and holiness, or simply to learn what kind of holidays socialists will have in their New World Order calendar.
Military service was mandatory for every Soviet man who reached his 18th birthday. Therefore every boy was seen as potential motherland defender, except those disabled or seriously ill. Every school had military preparedness class where, besides disassembling and assembling AK 47 and putting on gas mask we were indoctrinated into our future roles as defenders of socialist motherland. And February 23rd holiday served that purpose. Before end of WWII it was Red Army Day. In spite of its military origins, many former Soviet citizens still celebrate this day simply as Men’s Day. Among all former Soviet republics I know for sure that Russia renamed it into Defender of Fatherland Day, while keeping the same date. Ukraine has such holiday on January 29th.
March 8th – International Women’s Day was seen as counterpart to Man’s Day. It was and still is a custom to celebrate and give flowers to all women: mothers, wives, daughters, sisters. Comparing to American holidays it was probably like Valentine’s and Mother’s Days combined (just add daughters and sisters there!) On the surface this holiday looks nice and innocent. Men were happy to give and women – to receive all gifts, respect and appreciation. However, like with many other international holidays, it’s origins are deeply rooted in paganism, in rebellion against God-given women’s role, as described in the Bible. With such disrespect of Judeo-Christian values it was adopted by ungodly International socialist movement. According to history reference, the first IWD was observed on 28 February 1909 in the United States following a declaration by the Socialist Party of America. In 1910 the first international women’s conference was held in Copenhagen by the Second International and an ‘International Women’s Day’ was established, which was submitted by the important German Socialist Clara Zetkin, who as I remember was highly respected by Soviet Communist Party. But, why they chose spring for Women’s Day? I tend to think that there is connection to Eostre, pagan goddess of spring and fertility. Now, guess where the name “Easter” comes from? Evidently, because socialists hate Passover and Resurrection of Christ, they also needed to fill springtime with something that would divert people’s attention away from God. While socialists propagate atheism, declaring that there’s no God, they employ well demons and pagan gods to attack Biblical faiths.
Another springtime holiday was on May 1st – International Worker’s Solidarity Day, known simply as May Day, although received its inspiration from the United States’ Haymarket Affair, eventually became propaganda platform for socialists from Second International and labor movement. In Soviet Union workers were forced or, more precisely, financially motivated to carry huge signs praising Soviet regime at crowded May Day demonstrations. As anti-socialist kids we had our own interpretation of that word as “demon’s show”.
Probably the most respected holiday was the Victory Day celebrated on May 9th. Although it was extensively praised as almost exclusively Soviet victory in WWII with other participants rarely mentioned, anyone in the world should agree that soviet people paid the greatest price in that war. While rightfully bashing Soviet government for mistreating own soldiers, especially for sending many of them from German camps straight to Soviet camps, I’d like to say “thank you” to all who fought for our freedom from fascism. But, unlike in Soviet celebration of Victory, when only human achievement was praised, I’d like also to thank God for saving us from greater horror.
The most sickening of all Soviet holidays was so called Great October Socialist Revolution Holiday, because soviet people were brainwashed into celebrating their own destruction, godlessness, steep moral decline, lawlessness imposed by revolutionaries under Lenin’s command. As the result of communist power grab, Russian Czar and his family were murdered, churches destroyed, priests killed and religious holidays removed from calendar, while atheist propaganda worked day and night to remove it also from people’s minds and souls. If propaganda had no effect, then GULAG was next. Understanding all such greatness of socialist revolution, I’d rather celebrate December 26, the day after Christians celebrate the birth of Christ, I’ll celebrate the death of Soviet Union, the cancellation of all revolution’s achievements on that day the year 1991.
And the last on my list of most important Soviet holidays is the New Year, celebrated the night of December 31st and January 1st, well as almost everywhere in the world. Celebration of Russian style Christmas on January 7th was left for officially recognized churches like Russian Orthodox and even there soviet militia would stay outside church property and under pretense of guarding the order, they would limit who could enter and how many. For example, they didn’t allow young people to get in the church unless young person was helping elderly. Officially most of Western Christmas characters and items were transformed and adopted in New Year celebration. The goal, of course, was to kill Christianity and its influence in people’s lives. In the course of transformation Santa lost his holy image and became Ded Moroz, which translates as Grandfather Frost. In the school few days before New Year we had official celebration around… no, not Christmas tree, but so called New Year Tree, usually Fir Tree. Grandpa Frost would walk in with his long magical staff in one hand and large bag full of gifts – in another, accompanied by Snegurochka or ‘Snow Maiden,’ his granddaughter.
True celebrations of religious holidays in USSR were kept in secret, because leaders of underground churches and synagogues taught people actual meaning of these holidays which also was considered anti-soviet agitation and propaganda. Soviet people, be it Christians or Jews, often paid with years spent in GULAG camps or even with their lives simply for celebration of Biblical holidays. Unfortunately, with all freedom American people still have, I see and hear more about selling Santa, than free gift of Christ, more bunnies and eggs, honoring pagan fertility goddess, than death and resurrection, presented in the Bible. That’s what socialism is interested in, not God. All Soviet holidays I just described, excluded God. Socialists, communists understand that they are loosing when people throw away all the dross from their religious holidays and call on God’s name. That’s what America needs now, in this holiday season, as it is written in Jeremiah 33:3, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know”.
